I’ve been eating so much oatmeal, trying to use it in so many different ways. I’ve been eating normal oatmeal for breakfast, energy balls, oatmeal dessert bars, and much more! This recipe is so easy, even your kids could help you make them and it’s a great way to start them off in the kitchen. I don’t have any kids yet but whenever I babysit I love getting the kids to help. They always love it and I think it helps in teaching them great skills to learn for their future. They learn how to measure ingredients and with some recipes can even use their imagination to make it their own.
You can make this recipe ahead of time and then grab one out whenever you want as a quick and healthy snack. This recipe is also very customizable for your own liking.
Cinnamon Oatmeal Bites
1 1/2 cups oatmeal
1/2 cup peanut butter
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 cup chai seeds
1/4 cup chocolate chips
1/4 cup honey
Directions:
1.) Place all ingredients in a measuring bowl and mix to combine.
2.) Place in the fridge for half and hour to let all ingredients set together. This step makes it easier to roll out the balls.
3.) Take out of the fridge and scoop into balls. I used a medium sized cookie scoop otherwise you can use a spoon, and roll into balls.
Makes 12 balls. Depending on the size you make of the balls depends on how many balls you get.
