Chicken Cordon Blue Casserole

This is any easy way to make cordon blue without having to roll up or fry it. An easy remake of the classic with the still the same taste just a different look. Still get the chicken, ham, and cheesy mixture all in one.

Start by heating the oven to 350°. While the oven is preheating cut the chicken into cubes and place into 9×13 pan, sprinkle with salt and pepper. Cook for 10 minutes just to partially cook the chicken. Dice the ham while the chicken is cooking. Prepare the creamy mixture: mix the cream of chicken, milk, and sour cream. Drain the liquid in the pan after chicken is partially cooked.

Layer the ham, then the mixture, top with swiss cheese and breadcrumbs. Pour melted butter all over the top and cover with tin foil. Cook for 20 minutes and then uncover and cook for another 10 minutes.

This is a big batch so if you wanted you could cut this recipe in half. I prefer to have leftovers, and I think it actually taste better on the second day after it is set all together for a bit.
